    How Many Kings

A song that has been in my mind these past 2 weeks...hope you'll be touched by it too.

Follow the star to a place unexpected
Would you believe after all we’ve projected
    A child in a manger

Lowly and small, the weakest of all
Unlikeliness hero, wrapped in his mothers shawl
    Just a child
Is this who we’ve waited for?

Cause how many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?

Bringing our gifts for the newborn savior
All that we have whether costly or meek
    Because we believe
Gold for his honor and frankincense for his pleasure
And myrrh for the cross he’ll suffer
Do you believe, is this who we’ve waited for?
    It’s who we’ve waited for

How many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only one did that for me

    All for me
    All for you
    All for me
    All for you

Holiday Part 3 - London & Old Trafford

Third Stop: London + Manchester (Old Trafford)
Yep!! London! We are here because of Belinda my best pal. I have been wanting to visit her in London. Though it was a short stay, we had fun....at the Roast Duck stall, walking along Oxford St, going crazy at Primark (ahem), cooking teriyaki salmon don, watching The Lion King Musical & preparing food for picnic, posing with the happy frog mug (where both Derek and Belinda were pulled in to pose with the mug. HAHA.

Shall not bore u with those touristy photos. Just a few...

    Buckingham Palace
    Apple Store @ Covent Garden
    Best coffee in London.
    Just opposite Borough Market.
And of course a day at Old Trafford :)
High Tea in Harrods - Laduree
The Lion King Musical @ Lyceum Theater
    BEST!!
    Relaxing in Bel's backyard
Our morning 'picnic' with Choco Muffins and Lady Grey Tea in a happy frog mug!
Last stop - Picnic at Greenwich Park

    Holiday Part 2 - Iceland

    Second Stop: Iceland aka Island
A land of ice and fire! A population of about 320,000 in a 103,000 km2 land. More than half its population resides in the capital and its largest city - Reykjavik. Iceland is a part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and it is still forming new oceanic crust.

This is the farthest country we have or will ever travel, so we are pretty excited to see what is in store for us. I must say it felt like a National Geographic tour.

    Seljalandsfoss Waterfall

Strokkur Geyser, which erupts every 5–10 minutesHorse riding across the lava field.
And photo below is my horse grazing in the meadow. (Spot Derek in the background?)
    Lava rock
Icelandic fish baked with potatoes + cheese.
Served with rye breads and salad.
More rye breads ... and cured Shark meat (small white cubes).
    Acquired taste.
This is my fav part of the trip - Glacier Lagoon!
    God's majestic creation.

    Holiday Part 1 - Norway

It’s been awhile since we last blog. Life has been exciting. Just that we are lazy in blogging. Thanks to YOG, my campus was closed for the month of August, which means extra week to relax & enjoy! So here are some picture of our 2-weeks holiday in Norway, Iceland and London.

These posts are going to be brief (very brief). More pictures available in Derek's facebook.

    First Stop: NORWAY
Norway is a place filled with inspiring architecture, beautiful fjords, mountains and coastal scenery. We love it!
One of UNESCO World Heritage Site - Bryggen

Sunset in Bergen. It was 9.50pm!

One of the fjords in Norway

Flam - A small town surrounded by steep mountainsides, waterfalls and deep valleys.

Salmon Salad (with lots of scrimps) cost S$30, exp but very shiok.

Things here are expensive (in comparison to Sg) A bottle of mineral water cost us S$5... It's atas real mountain water! hahaha

    D-Plus bread

I’m won over by Day plus bread. It first caught my eyes in NIE library café. It’s light, fluffy and makes me happy-Especially when I have to take a quick bit before night classes. I could not buy it this week due to term break and I wanted it to distress! Yes, I eat a lot when I’m stress… (eh, but I also know I eat a lot all the time anyway.... well, that’s beside the point.) So Derek & I went hunting for it from NTUC finest, to petrol kiosk to iEcon supermarket and finally found it in a small 7/11 stall in our neighborhood. Why is Day plus bread so hard to find in the East? Can somebody tell me where I can buy them from the east or north-east of Singapore? Is this just a west side craze?

    readings, readings and more readings

I have never been reading as much as I'm reading now. 3 textbooks per subject and I've got 3 subjects this semester. Most of my waking hours are spent on journal articles, text, articles, text..and the cycle goes. It's only the third week and I think this cycle is going faster than what my brain can handle. HAHA.

Seems like my mental engine is not well-oiled or my engine simply hasn't started for studying, or has it got to do with age?? *gasp* no way!! I need to build up a momentum somehow. Determined, Kia su min here.

derek is staying up through the night due to work. I've just finished an assignment. Had my supper-cum-breakfast at 5am. Hope this does not happen often. ZZzzz oh ya, despite the tiredness, we managed to stay up to watch Man U beat Man city. =) goodnite to me & and good morning to all!

I've got too many days of AL to clear. =) no complains tho.
