Plates Smashing!!

I dunno why but I just can't get to sleep again so here i am to blog... had a superb time with the girls today. We gave ourselves a nice treat at Esmirada Mediterranean Restaurant at Orchard Hotel. Dim candle lights, no-tablecloth place where people could relax and just have fun. Mindy, Bel & myself were taking silly pic... since it's so dim, not many will notice our insanity. =P

Music was nice but a little too loud, we were practically repeating ourselves a couple of times across the table. Oh if you ever go there, try their signature dish -Garlic bread! I'm Serious! It's yummy delicious. We had Grilled meat Beef tenderloin & chicken kebab on skewer in Mediterranean-style. To those who don't know, Every night (ard 9pm) they have this plate smashing session called 'Zomba', where they play really loud and rowdy music and start throwing plates in front of their guests --DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME. The Greek believe that the rituals of throwing plates will get rid of bad luck. I was also single out to do a little dance with the waiters while they contd to throw plates in accordance to the rhythm of the music. I suppose the bills are inclusive of the daily plates they smashed. Haha whatever!!! Definitely an unique way of having dinner!
argh.. still cant sleep..n i dun hav cable TV..if not i can kill time watching Liverpool v AC Milan

T.G.I.F.

1) Common acronym for - Thank God It's Friday. In relations to Good Friday? Perhaps.. or in other case, the end of our 5 days work week.

2) TGIF = This Grandma Is Fabulous!
Haha yay my colleague told me that she saw this particular design on a bookmark.

3) Thank God It's Finished - the work of the Lord completed in our lives. His divine intervention that has carried us through the journey of life. A race finished well. E.g Phil 3:14-16

And last but the most important!!

4) Today God Is First - a reminder to enthrone God as first in our lives. And the radiance of God shall shine upon us when we place Him before us. E.g Exodus 33:17-23

This morning I happen to glance upon a para from God Is Closer Than You Think by John Ortberg thought i share this with you...
Jesus put it this way: "Only one thing is needed". That one thing is the decision to live so continually in Jesus' presence as to be always covered with the dust of the rabbi. Sometimes "sitting at Jesus' feet" means we have to stop doing what we have been doing and start doing something else. Maybe we have been driving ourselves to the point of exhaustion, and "sitting at Jesus' Feet" means we have to trust him enough to get some sleep.

Today God Is First?

It's a Love Affair

Confession for jumping into conclusion, Guess I misunderstood my friend, found out he's struggling with some relationship issues. And I only realise it when I got home. Poor thing, denying but accepting his faults for not changing. My emotions are stirred just reading this. It reminded me of something as i'm typing:

"I wonder how much you will actually change for someone u love" Honestly speaking, it's gonna b tiring and it takes lotsa determination. I'm impressed by pple who have achieved that. If the other party say, "u gonna change this or that for the good of urself & others". Will u do that for the sake of love? See, if He matters to u, will you not listen to what He has to say? Will u not pay extra attention on the details He shared, will u not be so eager to have another minute to chat with Him. Will He be the first u think of when something good or bad happens. When u need a hug, He is all ready to give. When someone else passes a nasty comment about Him, will it b your first respond to speak up for Him.
If I say that this someone is God. Will u respond to God that way? I pray that i will... If...I truly love Him... if I truly value His love... His unconditional Love

Looking above the Treeline

Yes I know I have not been updating. Andrew's asking why am I so silent. Actually I've lots to say but don't wish to bored you all with details. =) Just update you on my outing trips over the long weekend.

I went Kota Tinggi with my family last sunday to attend my childhood playmate's wedding at her / family's Kota Rainforest Resort. It was a Long rough ride, bad & inconsiderate drivers, hot weather and i felt dizzy. But a downpour welcomed us just before lunch so that kinda ease our discomfort. the Resort's a Great escapee to get up-close with nature. Heard there'll be lotsa fireflies at nite! Dad concluded that we traveled Hours just to have a 10-course meal was rather 'nice'.

Yesterday was FUN! Went MacRitchie reservoir nature trail yesterday with Derek. Explored the TreeTop Hike on a hot, scorching Monday; it's not really fantastic, just trees, trees, leafs and more trees. Both of us agreed that it can't compare to scenic mountian view @ brissy. But if u want to have a view & a feel of what its like to be a monkey up a tree or a bird in its nest den i guess its pleasurable to be looking above the treeline. Thank God for shady trees, I guess even the birds r complaining about the recent weather. Be prepared to walk abt 10-15Km, plenty flights of stairs and some steep slopes. If you are keen try climbing 114 steps up the viewing tower. Ha, I'm that 'eng' to count the steps huh. But I was let down by what I saw--More trees.. haha. Just that! no mountains, no lake, no chirping birds. One of the highlights: I fed the fishes with my strawberry hello panda biscuit albeit illegal but it was sure relaxing to see the pathetic turtle struggling its way among the fish to have a piece of what they have. Eventually disappointed that they didn't leave a trace of leftover for him.. awww poor thing.. m I a sadist? We left immediately in case we see fish floating upside down. haha didn't I just said I m a sadist. Other then that, I truly ENJOYED the Trekking! Hope to do more! =P
