    Holiday Part 2 - Iceland


    Second Stop: Iceland aka Island
    A land of ice and fire! A population of about 320,000 in a 103,000 km2 land. More than half its population resides in the capital and its largest city - Reykjavik. Iceland is a part of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge and it is still forming new oceanic crust.

    This is the farthest country we have or will ever travel, so we are pretty excited to see what is in store for us. I must say it felt like a National Geographic tour.

    Seljalandsfoss Waterfall

    Strokkur Geyser, which erupts every 5–10 minutesHorse riding across the lava field.
    And photo below is my horse grazing in the meadow. (Spot Derek in the background?)
    Lava rock
    Icelandic fish baked with potatoes + cheese.
    Served with rye breads and salad.
    More rye breads ... and cured Shark meat (small white cubes).
    Acquired taste.
    This is my fav part of the trip - Glacier Lagoon!
    God's majestic creation.
