How Many Kings
A song that has been in my mind these past 2 weeks...hope you'll be touched by it too.
Follow the star to a place unexpected
Would you believe after all we’ve projected
A child in a manger
Lowly and small, the weakest of all
Unlikeliness hero, wrapped in his mothers shawl
Just a child
Is this who we’ve waited for?
Cause how many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Bringing our gifts for the newborn savior
All that we have whether costly or meek
Because we believe
Gold for his honor and frankincense for his pleasure
And myrrh for the cross he’ll suffer
Do you believe, is this who we’ve waited for?
It’s who we’ve waited for
How many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only one did that for me
All for me
All for you
All for me
All for you
change
change is more than an action...it's not just action.
Holiday Part 3 - London & Old Trafford
Third Stop: London + Manchester (Old Trafford)
Holiday Part 2 - Iceland
Holiday Part 1 - Norway
It’s been awhile since we last blog. Life has been exciting. Just that we are lazy in blogging. Thanks to YOG, my campus was closed for the month of August, which means extra week to relax & enjoy! So here are some picture of our 2-weeks holiday in Norway, Iceland and London.
D-Plus bread
I’m won over by Day plus bread. It first caught my eyes in NIE library café. It’s light, fluffy and makes me happy-Especially when I have to take a quick bit before night classes. I could not buy it this week due to term break and I wanted it to distress! Yes, I eat a lot when I’m stress… (eh, but I also know I eat a lot all the time anyway.... well, that’s beside the point.) So Derek & I went hunting for it from NTUC finest, to petrol kiosk to iEcon supermarket and finally found it in a small 7/11 stall in our neighborhood. Why is Day plus bread so hard to find in the East? Can somebody tell me where I can buy them from the east or north-east of Singapore? Is this just a west side craze?
readings, readings and more readings
I have never been reading as much as I'm reading now. 3 textbooks per subject and I've got 3 subjects this semester. Most of my waking hours are spent on journal articles, text, articles, text..and the cycle goes. It's only the third week and I think this cycle is going faster than what my brain can handle. HAHA.
Taking Inventory
2009 has been a blessed year.
Clearing leave
this blog is so dead. I wonder who visits.. anyway I'm clearing my annual leave (AL) every wed & fri till end of Nov... followed by a long annual leave starting 8 dec... I've got too many days of AL to clear. =) no complains tho. I used to think AL should be used in doing MANY things/activities other than WORK. =)but I'm happy to be on leave just doing nothing. it feels great to wake up later than usual, having extended breakfast with derek, surf the net, read a book, nap, nap, tv, nap. *Bliss*
