Uncertainties in life

Time really files, it has been 3 months in this department. As I read through piles of medical cases, it made me appreciate my life even more. It reminds me of how frail life is, and how brief life is. Esp with recent financial meltdown & uncertainties, it makes me ponder why people are still working so hard for $$. What is their reason for living? Have we missed the whole point of living?

People, I believe this is an essential time (THIS SEASON) for us as Christians (follower of Christ) to be bringing words of comfort and encouragement to people around us.

It's about time we get serious and honest in our prayer (dialogue with God) too. No more uttering prayers as though we’re following some sort of rituals. Or singing melodies cause it sounds nice & catchy. It's about time to be real in our feelings and struggles rather than faking it thinking that everything is ok – truth of the matter is… it's not ok. If you're feeling pain, express that to God. If you're feeling angry over situations, express that feeling to God & allow Him to reveal ways to resolve it. If you’re feeling anxious, express that anxiety. If you're feeling worried, express those worries. It's amazing how I found comfort & encouragement on this passage in the Bible (Ps 11:3) where it says, "The foundations of law and order have collapsed. What can the righteous do?"

That's really the real question of today, isn't it?! And the answer is in verse 4: "But the LORD is in his holy Temple; the LORD still rules from heaven. He watches everyone closely, examining every person on earth.” God has not disappeared from our situations, and we can find comfort in spending time in His presence. Pretty neat huh =) I'm thanking God for his greatness, He is above all things!!
