More Updates... and I still need a HOUSE!!
hello again everybody!!! I'm back today in the blog, cos I'm back in the uni library using my laptop to access the internet.. still can't get to my mails though so pls try not to flood me.. =) anyways as for updates on the house, I still haven't got a place yet... we've applied for a very nice place yesterday but still no results.. hopefully I'll be able to find out by today cos there's another house that we hope hasn't been leased yet!!! if not we gotta go house hunting again!! pray we get the nice place ok?? cos its got bbq pits and swimming pool and an AWESOME view of the brisbane river.. and its so near UNI!!! hahahah... pls pls pls pls pls!!!
well for the past few days we've been travelling about... on thurs we went to submit our application for the house.. but we got beaten to it by another girl.. but they still accepted our application anyway in case it fell through.. =) and i just found out that the agent still hasn't passed it over to the property manager yet!!! so we got to wait even longer!! argh!!! so pls pray we get the house.. haha. so kan cheong right?!?! no choice lah!!! Yes as i was saying.. after submitting application went over to Indooroopilly Shopping Town to jalan jalan... its a big shopping centre.. about tampines mall and century square combined... for all the Non-EAST SIDE ppl... that's like 3 floors the length of CityLink Mall... so that's how big it is... =) then we met a lot of ppl.. Shawn, Amy, Melissa, Eileen and a few others... really here macham SG like that...
then at night, we were supposed to meet up with amy and mel for dinner, but she cancelled so we just ate cup noodles at home... and in case you're wondering why, that's because we're staying at a friend's place.. and he's only coming back later on next week, so his fridge is not up, his phone line is not up, etc etc etc... so we're just eating out most of the time... its expensive man!!! fast food is the cheapest thing here... and bread is staple... been eating mackers (aussie for mcdonalds) and hungry jacks( aussie burger king) and kfc like nobody's business.. all too heaty... but i've been drinking water.. though it tastes kinda funny.. =)
today gonna stay in uni for a bit... catch up on my mails and stuff... =) blogging.. hahah.. i've been looking for a cheap salon to go get my hair cut and highlighted!! =) but still haven't found one... probably the uni salon's the cheapest.. hehehe.. will take pics when i get it done.. =)
OH best update!!! I just bought for myself a 1987 Nissan Skyline... OK dun imagine the current skyline series can cheong one... its not like dat.. it kinda looks more like the old toyota crown kinda thing.. boxish but its BIG.. hehehe... dun think its got a turbo engine but its quiet and fuel economy is really good and POWER STEERING!! the car we're using now, also our friend's has got no power steering and driving it is tiring man!! esp parking!! ... now only thing is I got to get it registered before I can drive it.. its got no number plate now at the moment.. hahaha.. =) fast ah.. haven't got house only get car... tsk tsk tsk... hahaha!! well it was a cheap and good buy.. =)
ok I think this is a pretty long update to make up for the numerous days I haven't been updating.. thanks for all the mails of encouragement and everything!! its been really good reading them, but I dun really have the time to reply to every single one... need to get my internet up and running first... can't chat on the UQ network cos they block all the mails and instant messaging clients.. lucky still can read my mail online... =) ok then will update again soon alright? in the meantime take care of yourselves, and check back again soon!!! hopefully i'll get my house by then....
