Daily rantings...
well I had a long day today.. but at least it was spend with my family! yeah headed out to Mt Vernon first to pay my grandparents (one from dad's side, other from mom's side) and also my mom a visit... well it was really very long ago.. I was probably too young to really understand it back then.. but I guess when I saw my mom... I knew that I never really did appreciate her for all she did, and it's like the missing piece in a jigsaw puzzle set... something that just can't be filled in by something else... well it's not that my stepmum doesn't love me and all, but its something even I can't explain at this moment.. really treasure your parents and those that love and care for you, cos we really never know when we will ever see them again and tell them how much you love them...
next we had a big buffet lunch at apollo hotel.. this place called
The Square restaurant.. don't ask me why its called that, cos I also dunno! but the food was good man!! the raw salmon was thick and juicy.. and they had other stuff too.. prata, chili crab, potato salad, pandan chicken, porridge, the list goes on and on.. but I was really full after that!! in fact i'm not even eating dinner now!
following that made a trip down to the campus crusade mass media ministry sale over at hiap huat house... managed to get some time catching up with Huimin too! And also met Wensi after a long long long long while! hahaha.. well we'll find some time to catch up again after I come back yeah?! and sorry about the Matrix show.. too bad for me.. *sob* yes I'm missing the official opening of
MATRIX REVOLUTIONS!!! sigh...

end of the day...
yeppers its the end of the day post... just came back from Gloria's place.. wah the house really very the nice leh!!! it's got the country setting.. parquet flooring and the whole woodshed feel to it... and the rooms are very nice.. and the eqmts too!! plasma tv... bose 5.1 sound system.. woohoo!! and there's a pool too... benson and I so tempted to throw gloria in.. hahaha! well we just had to make do with putting choc fudge on her face... well she's a gal so we can't do that much.. *shrugs* ANYWAYS yeah it was great fun! had pretty good food too! catered though.. hehehe.. oh well.. i'll be flying off in another 21hrs.. *sighs* well at least its a good holiday for me.. but will be missing all you ppl!! just a few short msgs..
youth in elim::: I won't be around to see u guys do the dance for the anniversary, but i'm sure it'll be a blast!! remember... big actions in small spaces, don't look down, and SMILE!!! Most Importantly, HAVE FUN! maybe somebody can take a video then I can see.. hehehe!

Headless Chicken...
an afternoon post for all of you interested readers out there... yes I have been running around like another headless chicken today.. (allan if u ever come to read my site you'll know what I mean)... I was in Bedok Camp.. had the irritating safety brief AGAIN.. its the 2nd one already! and its totally the same!! just because I went to the one at Dieppe Barracks instead of Bedok Camp they ask me to come again to take attendance and to take a stupid environmental test... sheesh.. talk about inefficiency!!! then took 3 buses to Beach Rd to buy army stuff.. AGAIN!! lucky they're open... hehehe.. bought like close to $25 worth of stuff.. hehe.. inclusive of $17 jungle hat.. very nice leh.. hahah! but yeah i think i got to go back to camp later to pick up some things to bring to aus...
anyways tonight going to Gloria's hse for her bday! Happy Birthday Gloria!! I'll probably go back camp after that to pick up the stuff before I head home.. =)

yeah last minute blog time! hahaha.. well today was madness.. I was running around almost a good half of singapore.. and I'm very tired! i think the beginning of the week until now so far has not been good... thankfully and hopefully I can rest when I'm in Aus..!!! here's how my tour began..
I stayed home to rest last night! which is a good thing.. finally got to be away from camp.. then went to meet Allan at beach rd.. wanted to get some army stuff for aus.. but when we got there, it was all closed!! apparantly army market don't operate in the mornings!! Practically the whole market was closed loh.. not one stall was open!! and this was at 10am! ok so we decided to try Golden Mile Tower, also no luck!!
Next.. we headed to Orange Grove Rd to IDP, which handles all the Australian Uni applications and stuff, cos Allan needed to check out his uni stuff, so I just accompanied him. Then we went to Far East for lunch... had chicken rice.. that was good! hahaha.. yep then had a short chat with Allan's sister at her shop..

ok after that went back camp... on the way had a quick haircut at this place in AMK called QuickCuts... u know the $10 for 10mins thingy? yeah tried that... it was pretty good.. didn't really like the way he cut my hair.. but Allan says its good.. and he did it 10mins on the dot! timed it secretly.. hahah!! but i think for $10 i'd rather go to my camp barber.. and he charges only $5...
ok then went back to camp.. I was running around in camp like another mad dog... had to confirm to get compasses... then must calibrate.. then must go print out training safety regulations, safety forms, etc etc etc to bring up to Australia... then got Gabriel (my spec) to drive us out to Nee Soon camp opposite to get the army supplies.. (thanks Gab!) before coming back to camp again.. after all that was done, I was already super tired!!! but finally i managed to go home.. with a very big bag... and pop came a empty merc cab for me to take!! Praise God for that!!
then I just came back from having some supper with some of the ppl from VFC... thanks for the company and I'll try to find something for you guys!! hehehe.. just some flight details for all of you... I'm leaving this Friday on SQ8931 at 9pm.. and I'm coming back on 9th Nov on flight SQ8934 at 3:45am!!!! so don't bother to come and send me off or anything.. besides its army flight.. don't bother.. hahah!! well time to rest... got to go Bedok Camp (again!) tom morning!! sianz... oh well... gdnite world!!

FINALLY i'm back!! man i tell you yesterday was so irritating!!! I had like the most irritating day of my life!! so far at least... here's like the WHOLE story...
It started off with us having to go over to Bedok Camp cos we got to submit our kitbags for my aus trip coming up. So I was like up packing on Sunday night until about 1am before I actually got to bed, and had to wake up by about 7+ so that we could make the trip down to Bedok camp. Of course, I took a lift from my friend's car and our bags took quite a while to arrive, so I was like walking around Bedok estate for about 1/2 hr before we went to the camp! That's the start...
Then we had our first initial inspection. Let me elaborate on the scenario. There were 2 groups of us, one group had their inspection at another camp, while we had ours here in Bedok Camp. So for our travel to australia, all our eqmts
CANNOT have any sand, mud, dirt, grass, seedlings, gravel, rust, algae, etc etc etc on it AT ALL!! And for us practically everbody failed the first inspection so we spent the entire morning cleaning out all the dirt AGAIN! It's not as if we didn't clean it in camp.. but apparently it wasn't enough!!
Then 2nd inspection was at 3pm... again a few more problems like cloth bits stuck in the velcro and muddy looking stains, yada yada... so AGAIN down to more cleaning... actually we were more desperate this time.. yep out came permanent markers, spray paints!! so that was one mess.. then just as we were about then and going to pack up, they told us to take out everything again cos the RSM want to check personally!! I was already pretty pissed already cos it totally wasted my entire day already and they still want to check AGAIN!?!??!?!! Because of that I actually cancelled a lesson that I was supposed to conduct today... !!!
By the time they checked finish it was already like 530pm already... talk about a waste of time!! my whole day was wasted by the stupid inspection!! grrrrrrr....
then this morning had to go see my boss in the early morning... so i couldn't rest today.. and my nose is starting to run again.. !!! talk about a bad week.... well more work ahead for me.... *sigh*

It's my evening post for today! another sunday is gone... I'm leaving for aussie in another 5 days... Yes I'm leaving on Friday evening.. Deepavali night! talk about eating your holidays.. hehehe... Well it'll be a 2 weeks training trip.. on which I'm going just to support another unit for their mortar live-firing as a position safety officer... in another words, I go there and relak-jack and enjoy holiday!! hahahah... no lah, I have my job to do.. but its not throughout the exercise, so that's good for me!! woohoo!!
anyways, I OVERSLEPT today!! I was really super tired when my alarm rang... so I just pressed it and went back to sleep.. by the time I got up, the first service already started liao.. so was like
argh! for a while before I carried on sleeping.. hahaha! then I followed my parents for the 2nd service.. had to go a little earlier cos I was on duty! I'm SORRY!!
but it was a good service... even though had to work my way through the entire worship without knowing the order of the songs... but Ps Glen shared on his experiences in Bogota, Columbia and his message was on Jesus, Our Deliverer! Yeah indeed Christ is our deliver who
HAS delivered us,
WILL deliver us and also
CONTINUE to deliver us!
Immediately after service, we had our vocals recording for the presentation item for the anniversary week.. yep we'll be doing our performance on the FRIDAY! so don't miss out on it! The vocal recording I found a little rushed.. particularly cos Sis Rosie had to rush off to another church, but it was still alright! and the dance looked mighty fine! I really don't have anything to worry about when I'm not around. Really must thank God for all the dedication of the youths to take their 2 left feet and dance for the King Above!! Good job you guys!! And I also must thank Ps Seaward for providing us packet lunches!!
Well don't think i'll post another entry today.. got to pack cos submitting kit bag tomorrow liao.. ok then! hopefully I'll pop in again tomorrow! bye!

ok i shall keep this short today.. not like the last one.. cos i'm like really tired.. hahaha.. yet all in all really must thank God for a good day!
yes I missed the friday dance practise for the anniversary.. really very sorry! last minute had something crop up, so was stuck in camp, only managed to reach home about 930pm... yep then today was already in church at about 12pm, helping to rearrange the entire 4th floor Edge room!! It was pretty funny, all the slacking around, and goofing off.. especially at Elvin who now has another nick name of the Chair Destroyer... cos whenever he tries to like drag a row of chairs, it'll just somehow separate in his hands... those who were there will know what I mean!
And after loads of laughs and getting down to it, we finally managed to arrange the place! and it really looked a whole lot bigger! and no pillar in the way too!! yep great acheivement! =)
service today was cool! learnt a new song, which I frankly didn't really catch anything about it.. haha! but hopefully as I play more often I'll learn it.. =) Ps Russ was a bundle of laughs, yet his message was really good, simple but yet direct to the point! Very hard to find a speaker like that! =) won't elaborate here cos don't have the time...
After that had some feasting for dinner... the usual beef rice, then hokkien mee, then 2 plates of sambal stingray... woohoo!!
(I didn't eat all of that, we shared!) before playing pool again with Raju and others! and finally i'm back home after a long long day... well tomorrow's a new day! or should I say today! and it's the Lord's day! so woohoo!! time to go get some rest! gdnite! =)

good afternoon peepz! well i gotta make this one short again... i'm like super-loaded with work today... got to finish this document to show to boss like latest by end of today.. so gotta finish it.. have been staring at it ever since i woke up and got to the office until i left for lunch!! and it is always never complete until the last minute.. oh well! that's my job for you..
well to my main thoughts today.. until now at least... I accompanied a friend to New Creation Church yesterday for the Bible Study... I kinda enjoyed the worship and all... but when it came to message... I was somewhat half interested yet half disturbed... ok to all you people from New Creation, no hard feelings, i don't think there's anything wrong with you people so yeah, but I left the service pretty much disturbed...
Ps Prince shared on the power of the blood of Jesus, moving on to the armour of God with prayer in the spirit being the 7th piece of the armour of God as found in Eph 6:18. He mentioned about the shield of faith, with which to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one (v16) which in the Greek is "the wiles of the evil one" or cunningness. The other time where this word "wiles" is mentioned in the Bible is in Eph 4:14 in the portion that says, "blown here and there by every WIND OF TEACHING and by the wiles of men in their deceitful scheming."
Thus, the devil uses teaching, theology, doctrines as weapons against us.
He moved on to Col 2:13-15.
v13 mentions that God has forgiven ALL your sins.
Does this mean God has only forgiven your sins up to this point in your life?
If that were the case then when the author wrote this letter to them, then it wouldn't apply for the sins after they've read it now would it? God has forgiven ALL sins, both in the past, the present and in the future. It was a one-time sacrifice that paid the price for ALL of mans sins, both in the past and in the future until eternity. In other ones, He has already forgiven you for sins that you haven't even thought of doing!
That's one thing for you to think about...
v14 means that God has erased His own Law, the Law that was written in His handwriting and He nailed it on the cross so that in Christ we would not be condemned by the Law. For the Law kills, but the Spirit brings life.
If we take v15 in context together with v14, we get this following statement:
When God wipes out the Law, principalities and powers are disarmed!
Thus from here we know that the devil uses the LAW to ACCUSE us and condemn us, because Satan is the ACCUSER of the brethren!
The most unsettling thing for me was in Heb 10.
v2: when we are cleansed, we would no longer be feeling guilty or have consciousness of our sins! Yet why is it that in today's churches we are preaching sermons that instil a sense of sin-consciousness in the lives of the congregation?
v11-12: Jesus was the one sacrifice for sins FOREVER! In the old testament, the High priest was constantly standing and moving around and working.. his duties were never ending, yet the Great High Priest paid ONCE for all eternity and then SAT down at the right hand of God the Father.
and then in v14 it is by that one sacrifice that we are made perfect FOREVER.
Ps Prince teaches on the doctrine of Forever Grace, once saved always saved. That grace is given and righteousness is a gift, not a reward. We will never lose our salvation until we reject and do not recognise the sacrifice that was paid for us.
Is this right? I agree that righteousness is not based on our works because they are nothing in God's eyes. Yet the concept of forever grace has been taught against in so many churches. Why is the church divided over the grace of God? Who is right, who is wrong? Does God's grace save us for all eternity, regardless of what we do, as long as we recognise that Jesus has paid the price for us all and we are perfect people in His sight, because Heb 10:17 says that the Holy Spirit is our witness that "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."?
Teach us your ways O Lord that we may walk in your path...

hahaha... i missed another day again!! hope this doesn't become a habit!! hehehe... well I got valid reasons ok!! yes i've been overloaded with work... I've been busy teaching my guys stuff... so i'll be busy throughout the whole of this week and next week! and I just stepped into my boss' office and I got more work!! you can just tell how excited i am man... *bleah* guess i'll be even more busy!! guess i got my requests.. haha!! oh well..
yeah I managed to catch a movie yesterday with my
NEWEST BEST FRIEND...
*drumroll*... ESTHER TAN!! hahaha... well I managed to catch Matchstick Men!! The cool thing is I so didn't know what the show was about when I stepped into the cinema.. and my best friend also don't want to tell me!! But the show was GOOD!! I shall not spoil it for all you movie khakis out there! but go catch it!! its good!!! yes and the funny thing was after the movie, the both of us were like 2 rats running in a maze... looking for the TOILET! hahaha... nature's call was pretty desperate.. haha..
well today will be short... cos as i mentioned above.. BUSY!!! gotta run... good day ppl... =)

good morning! yes as some of you regular readers might have noticed, (duh) i didn't update my blog yesterday.. it was a busy day.. I was busy preparing for my lessons which I have to conduct over this and the next week!! like teacher like that man... hehehe... AND my 'monday flu' is back again!! I thought it would be alright in the morning cos it was pretty clear and all.. but apparently not so... cos the rest of the day my nose had a great workout... and the lunch at BK didn't help.. I really think they put like sleeping powder into the burgers man... my bunkmate Allan and I after eating them we were like so sleepy after that... it was like woah... hehehe..
OK better stuff... here's some thoughts of SEABISCUIT! yes i managed to catch it yesterday night... it's a pretty good show with some really really great morals and moments... and it definitely got me thinking... yes it is your typical feel-good movie but it does have its interesting points... I just want to share about this one line that really of course makes the show - its simple, but is so so full of meaning:
"You don't throw a life away just because its banged up a little bit..."
This line was said in 2 instances - one when the trainer managed to rescue a really nice white horse from being put down because its foot was fractured and he managed to treat it, of course not to race again but as a show horse or cart puller yada yada... the 2nd instance was when they discovered that the jockey (Tobey Maguire) was blind in one eye...
How does this apply to us in our walk with God? In the same way, God doesn't look at you and say, "You've been one hell of a devil... lying, cheating scum... you deserve to go to hell!!"
NO! God looks at us, in our hearts with all love and grace and tells us, "Hey, it doesn't matter what you are now, or what you were before... I sent my only Son to die for you, to cleanse you of all your sin, so that there's no need to feel guilty or inferior or unworthy. As long as you believe in Me and my Son with all your heart, I will come in and be with you and give you a second chance!"
So great is the love of God that He's willing to do all this for us... and oh how the heavens rejoice when just one turns his eyes to Jesus and receives Him as Saviour... thank you Lord for the awesome gift of salvation...

good evening world!! today was really happening man... its really one of the few times that I was really energised and revitalised and really paid attention to both services!! It all started when I woke up this morning... as usual I woke up late! ok not that late.. I set my alarm at 0630 and woke up at 0650.. =) got out of the house in about 15mins and it was raining and all... SO my sinus starting acting up and as I got off the bus, (here's where it gets a little gross) my nose was like running all over the shop.. it was a mess and I didn't have any tissue paper.. and I walked past the mamak shop hoping to get one, but surprisingly they haven't open yet!!! so I was argh!!! So I really prayed... our God is just so
AMAZING!! I like put my hand on my nose and just said, "Lord, heal me!" and then I crossed the road and suddenly my nose was clear!! I was WOOHOO power up man and I just thanked God... so that really started my day on the right foot!!
anyway moving on... the service was really good too! a really good message from Ps Sis Seaward... talking about God's grace and how undeserving we are, but yet He is so willing to give it freely to us, only if we abide in Him and seek Him!!! Hallelujah! Spent the rest of the day with rehearsals.. a late lunch and some shopping!! No not for myself... don't have enough money for that! hahaha! =)

good evening!! well don't have much time to blog cos i'm really pooped... only slept at 4am last night cos I was busy helping Abriel with his blog design... (abriel you owe me big time!!) hahaha.. just kidding! but yes I did sleep at 4am... and was half-woken up this morning by all you kind loving individuals that sms me good morning! I do appreciate it, thank you very much! It shows how much people think of you at the start of the day... makes one feel good doesn't it? =)
anyways yeah that was that... waited for my dad to come home so that I could take the car and go to church! had a good practise session both with Edge and our own youth performance coming up! check it out man, its like the
FIRST EVER dance performance in ELIM! I was talking with a brother while having lunch and he was like, "I'd never thought I'd see the day where we would have dance in Elim..." and frankly, I did agree with him! but God moves and works in so many many many ways! there's not just sermons, and praise and worship, there's also things like street ministry and tentmakers and performing arts and teaching ministries and so so many more... He's really an AWESOME God! When I do actually find the link I'll add it to my list and show you were I was before...
Yes to some of you who are now in disbelief, yes I did dance before... and I still hope to do so in future.. I was with this christian performing arts group called Eternal Splashes... which is the creative arts arm of YWAM Singapore...sadly I dont have any pictures of when I was there.. cos got no time to take photo also!! hahaha.. but it was so much fun man... I really miss those days.. well maybe I'll go back there as staff and help out when I can.. who knows?! =)
Well can't write anymore cos I'm drifting off to sleep and I got to wake up in 7hrs to go church!! so gdnite world!! =)

good evening! well as you all would have known, yes i didn't update my blog... that's because i've been like super busy man!! that's what the army does... it sucks the life out of you!! well I spent my night at home yesterday.. at least had a good break and rest at home... d/l my mails and all...
I've told many ppl this... and I'll still say it again... the internet is my window to the world... my social circle... ok not all of it but pretty much half my circle i maintain contact with through the internet... I don't use the phone much... actually I seldom use the phone at all! I only use it to sms ppl.. and maybe make some urgent calls and stuff... that's me for you.. and that's probably why i'm an IT student too! hahaha...

Good afternoon ppz! last night was pretty interesting.. was watching TV halfway when our 2 buildings blacked out... and when you have about 200+ guys staying in these buildings... its a mess.. hahaha!! but thank God power came back after like 1/2hr +++ hehehe.. well I pigged out last night too... had BK then had another of the Delifrance delipotato.. woohoo!! but felt really very full after that... =) at least I had a good sleep with no sinus problems this morning!! praise God!! ok then.. here's something for you.. pretty long, but its interesting...

Good afternoon peepz! another daily dose of life...
have you ever been so bored that you wondered why? I have.. in fact pretty often.. those who know me will know that I'm one of the busiest people on earth... ok maybe not but i'm pretty busy!! at least I try to be.. =) I
CANNOT stand being bored... my week has got to be more or less planned out ahead of time... so that I'll have something to do throughout the week...
and once upon a blue moon something struck me. why do i want to be busy? all around me people are trying the ways and means to get out of work and trying to 'siam' all the arrows... what I mean by not being busy is having absolutely no idea of what to do and basically... doing nothing! I have my fair share of work yes, and i also want to 'siam' work, but I don't like the idea of not having anything to do... even when it comes to having fun and relaxing it has got to be going somewhere, meeting some people, doing stuff...
is my life that boring that it revolves around activities? or am I that dependant on the activity and whom I carry it out with such that I don't enjoy time on my own? perhaps I don't want to be on my own... are you a person like that? are you one who enjoys personal time... or like me appreciates all the time that is spent fruitfully with friends or work or doing other stuff? something for all the world to think about...

Yes! as you can see I've finally posted up my new look!!! ok you might find the colours kinda wierd.. but i think its alright!! when I actually have time to think up of another colour combi then i'll do another major revamp... =P
well monday sucks... and my monday flu is back again... been sneezing non-stop the whole day.. thankfully its getting under control... pray that this flu will not come back next monday... hahaha! =)
And oh yeah! my guestbook is up... do take the time to fill it out yeah?!

Phew! another Sunday has come to an end... after being awake for just about 15hrs i surprisingly still don't feel that tired... probably cause i've been busy editing the web design for this BLOG!! Gimme a few more days and I should be able to get the NEW LOOK up and running! man forgot all my web editing stuff already... ANYWAYS today's service was great! Guess it was really a topic that I felt was timely and meant for the church... yes we're talking about Christianity and Judgement! yep good all criticisms and where they belong! So many times we just banter off, making snide remarks and commenting about everything under the sun... yet we never really get to think about the consequences of our speech... as what James says (my language of course), the tongue is a powerful weapon that can be used to raise up or tear down... I especially like Ps Peter's illustration of us having 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 nostrils, 2 lips, upper and lower jaw and teeth... just to protect that
ONE tongue from speaking ill and doing damage...
After all that was over... had lunch at Plaza Singapura... and I still think there's only one thing that can be eaten at PS food court... and that is the AYAM PANGGANG!!!! I still think its the most worth it thing there is there... and its tasty too!! =).. That was basically my day.. managed to get a CD before I came back home.. and I've been working on the site design for about 3 solid hours before I realised that I can't use FRAMES! hahaha.. well just need a "minor" revamp and that should work...
Well I still thank God for all my makan khakis... who always without fail take at least half an hour to decide where to go eat after service! Ppl like Desmond, Max, Kelvin, Benson, Jeremiah, Raju, Raj, Cecilia, Abigail, Ben, Youxin, Kenneth... everyone else i missed out cos I don't have anytime left!! God bless you all man!!
Well its back to camp... another long week ahead... wonder if I can go catch a movie this week...

the Edge service this evening was awesome... its really the power of prayer and how important it is to be sensitive to the Spirit at all times, even when you're not in church! Ps Olga was speaking of Gratitude and really I wonder how grateful have I been... I mean God has brought me through seriously some wonderful experiences with extraordinary ppl... How much have I ever thanked God for my parents, cos they've always supported me in my decisions, and my friends - ppl that have made me who I am... even the simplest things like food and water and a roof over my head...
Its amazing to think about how God has brought me through stages in my life... He brought me to a fantastic church when I was doing my attachment in Aus, met an awesome cell leader (Alvin you the man!!) and made some wonderful friends! Can't wait to meet up with you all again soon! God also brought me through my army daze... I really wasn't at all keen on going OCS, yet God had better plans and as I submitted to his direction He knows what's best loh! Looking back I really have no regrets cos I know He's got it all worked out and in control!! Thank You JESUS!
Well, after service had dinner and went to play pool with Raju, Youxin, Kenneth and Eugene. Pity Eugene had to leave early. But man I lost form.. haha.. probably too tired. Lost to Raju 4-3. But its not the results that matter, but the fellowship. Its good to have a brother-in-Christ like Raju. He's like the life of the party... a little too much life... plus the coffee didn't help either... *smiles*
Well SUNDAY IS HERE! and its off to church in another 6hrs time... that leaves... 6 hrs for me to sleep.. not very good.. but it'll have to do.. gdnite world!
