Pictures worth a thousand word
Once again its the
Sonic Festival 2004! Finally got the chance to attend it this year (biggest regret is that i can only attend for a short while) Wanted to hear Crown of Thorns & Surreal play...Argh Ivin gave me the wrong time!! Anyway while waiting for the mainstage performance, we toured the art gallery and viewed Howie's artwork.
Images from the Art GalleryPretty impressive. Simplicity with the pinch of sophistication in his touch of graphic design. Personal favourite--
The Eternal Kiss. An image of a couple kissing. "The Love Of God is but one, long eternal kiss. Where He exchanges life for death, peace for worry and the oil of gladness for sadness." How awesome is God's love for us. He tenderly care & nuture for his precious ones...
YES! That's you and me. It's wonderful to know that we are constantly changed by His love. Besides that, the pots and broken jars of clay caught my attention, these pots had lilted candle in them. To me, it represents broken vessels being used to hold the light that shine so brightly among the cracks & flaws of this world. These empty jars became useful and vibrant; Juz as the song Majesty goes:
Your grace has found me just as i am, Empty Handed but Alive in Your hand...Thru it all, i only managed to hear from 'Gloria', Heartbeat(from KL) and 'Sky in Euphoria' perform cause i've got to rush off to Pasir Ris for my cell grp outing. Aside frm the yummy delicious food prepared, i was drawn to the clear blue sky and it's horizon. Indeed...Pictures are worth a thousand word. Relating to this images helps me to ponder and give thanks for His Divine Love... a gift from heaven =)

Moments to remember
Yo people! How's it goin? Heehee I learnt a few aussie slang during my 6 days stay in bris... Yea. It's a great moment I will not forget. The scenic view of Green & Glasshouse Mountains 300-500m above ground was just magnificent. How anyone could display such beautiful sight of mountains in a nice parade. No one but God himself. He gives us all things to enjoy. No doubt about that.
Worship service was great too. Full of energy and the holy ghost! Fire up for more and more of Him! the worship and messages were way cool! Met some of dear's churchmates and I still tink Milton is sooo cute lor...like ninja turtle. oops no offence Heehee and Munn the sleepy one. Serene & Laurel the chatty and sociable gal and many others... Alex & Winston (short term memory pple) have to self introduce every time we meet. Haha funny guys, actually We did it deliberately just for the fun of it. Yea the serving of food are huge and i do hope i put on some weight from the amount of food intake i had during my stay. Well still cant beat dear to his 5 bowls of chicken rice when we went dinner with mike & angeline. heehee
It's fun being in good company but it's even better being with dear and our adventure to dreamworld---Never had so much fun before. Yea, I have lotsa stories to tell!!! First and fro most: I Survive the Giant DROP! it's known to be the tallest, vertical free-fall ride in the world by the Guinness Book of World Records! Woohoo... scream my lungs out plunging down 39 storey tall tower at 135kph back to ground. Phew! and the thrilling rides of Tower of Terror: Accelerates 0 to 156km/h in 7 seconds, 4 G Force! None of the rides can be more thrilling den the Giant Drop. I totally freak out when I watch it from afar, even tear cause it looks horrifying but once I take it, I love it!! just wanna have more of TOT (tower of terror)! Ya know that sensation is still in me every time I think about it. Makes me wanna scream "ah!!!" heehee oh well it will only happen in the dream....world...
so Glad that i'm home, but also miss dear too! Now I'm craving for hokkien mee... dad say he's gonna buy me supper. But ended up he got me fish cake, said to be very famous. Taste good tho. Or maybe because I am too hungry. Anyway it's back to work tml. I'll be thinking of u... my knight in shinning armor

There's always something to look forward to...
It's been a while since I last blogged... well just to briefly go through what happened during the past 2 weeks...
The 1st week I stayed over at Laurel and Munn's house cos there was nobody at home, and it's not very nice sleeping alone so stayed there and Laurel cooked great meals! Yeah she's a good cook... and then there's Munn that kept persuading me to go for runs and exercises!! in the end only ran with him once and played ultimate frisbee and soccer.. that got me aching for 2 days.. haha =P
The past week has been the most memorable of my time here... why? namely because my dear came to be with me!!! I am so happy she came... and well dear u probably just touched down about now.. but the 6 days with her were a dream turning to reality... We went shopping, went up north to Sunshine Coast, went south to Lamington, went west to Jindalee cos I was playing there on Sunday morning, went to Dreamworld (now that's a bag of stories right there but I'll leave her to tell her tale.. =P)... and I do thank God for every minute of it... just enjoying being with her, getting to know her that much more and being that much closer with her... and bringing her to see the church and the services was so cool too!! Something that I wanted to share with her ever since I got here!!
Well, those times are past, and I do miss you terribly my dearie, but school's started, and I've got to move on... got to do my best for this semester... OH YEAH, I got my back my results for the 1st sem, and I really have to thank God for His awesome blessings and thank you for your prayers.. I managed to get
2 high distinctions and
a credit... and for my year-long project which also includes the exam I took this semester, I managed to get
a high distinction for that exam too!! so really thank Jesus for that.. now really have to buck up on my project cos the product's pretty bad.. ahaha!! =)
Ok everybody.. its back to work for me.. i'll be back in a few more months.. and I'm looking forward to all the great things God's been doing in and through your lives... and also looking forward to see you again my princess...

Back from Sydney!!
Hey Everybody!! I'm back in Brissie!!! Hillsong Conference was just AMAZING!! it totally blew my mind away.. the whole presentation, the level of excellence in which the conference was conducted, the amazing hunger of every delegate, and the overall atmosphere was just electrifying!!! It's really an amazing gift of creativity that Hillsongs possesses.. the way they can think out and put to reality the exact idea for the opening of every night of the conference is astounding!
The speakers this year were also fantastic!! Hearing Joyce Meyer for the first time was mind-blowing! She's definitely one of the top speakers on my list! Others included Jentezen Franklin, with his awesome insight into God's Word, Frank Damazio, Phil Baker, Henry Seely and Planetshakers, the Parachute Band, Tim Hughes, Paul Scanlon and of course the Hillsong team were just really awe-inspiring and spoke deep within me as well. There's just so much to say about the conference that I can't say enough.. its something that you have to be there to experience it for yourself...
And the speakers for next year are extremely awesome as well!!! Joyce Meyer is going to be back, Reinhard Bonke, Cece Winans, possibly Michael W Smith, John Maxwell, just to name a few... its a pity that I don't think I'll be able to make it, but I hope to be able to attend the 2006 conference.. its really a very refreshing time where you can learn so much! I'm encouraging those of you who can and are willing to take time out to go for a Hillsongs conference at least once.. it's an unforgettable experience and time of refreshing for your ministry in all aspects! there's just so much to drink in and spill out to those around you.. =)
After all that, what else is there more I can say?! I'm still awestruck by what I've learnt and experienced! Once i've finished editing the photos of my trip I'll put it up and talk more from there.. =) till then.. gdnite everyone!! God's incredible man!! =)

Sydney Ahoy!!
G'day peepz!!! I'm at an internet cafe now.. surfing and checking my results and all that... in the meantime squeezing in this blog post with the few minutes that I have remaining... the past few days have been absolutely leg-achingly fantastic!! hahaha.. and I've spent heaps as well... mostly on FOOD...
Day 1: Arrived at the backpackers... pretty rundown and shabby looking, looks pretty dodgy, but then again, for $20/night you can't expect very much. At least there's a bed to sleep in and a roof over your head, and free tea and coffee... hehehe.. Did a walk down in the area and had this really yummy pad thai (AUTHENTIC OK!) at a thai restaurant nearby.. that was so shiok!!! so much better than brissie's asian food...
Day 2: Took a shopping trip down to darling harbour, along the way stopped by Paddy Markets near Chinatown.. really bargain hunting man!! t-shirts for $10, etc etc etc.. i bought for myself another pair of shoes.. white and black.. $40!! hahaha.. and darling harbour is really nice! walked till my feet hurt...
Day 3: Went on a tour to Nelson Bay and Port Stephens... We went sand boarding!! its so cool.. though we weren't allowed to do stunts and all that.. but its very nice.. almost like a desert, though only a small plot.. then went dolphin watching! its so nice!! i envy how carefree they are and fun-loving.. no stress, just enjoying themselves, its so relaxing just watching them! and they're pretty cute too.. =) We came back all tired out..
Day 4: Walked up to the Sydney Opera House!!! Yes we walked up.. its about a 20min slow walk up.. through the Royal Botanic Gardens and past the Government House and all that... its so nice.. photos galore man.. and we also managed to catch a show there!!! woohoo!!! i watched something at the opera house! sounds so much better than "I watched a show at the Esplanade." hahahaha!! again walked until our feet were aching really bad.. all in the name of HOLIDAY!!
Day 5: We visited Hillsong Church in the city this morning! thanks to Joshua's friend who brought us there. A pity that it wasn't the one at the Hillsong Convention Centre but it was still really very awesome.. I was amazed by the drummer cos he looks like he's 40+ but he's drumming is still fantastically tight and they have to dress young and cool and all that!! hahahaha.. but it was an awesome service.. headed back to Chinatown where we found this really fantastic food court with absolutely MOUTH-WATERING asian food.. and its cheap!! so we're practically eating there just about every meal.. =P
Well, the conference officially starts tomorrow so its exciting man!!! can't wait!! hahaha.. ok time's run out.. got to go already.. will try and get posts in as and when I can, earliest should be just after the conference I would think.. kekeke.. =) woohoo!!!
