Back for a Cuppa!

hey everyone!! apologies for not updating my posts in ages, exams have been taking up heaps of my time.. i've been studying till at least 2,3am almost every night during the past 3 weeks plus. Really thank God that He pulled me through my papers... most of them were easier than previous year's, so I felt really comfortable and at peace after I came out from the exam hall. =)

This whole weekend has been really awesome... although a wee bit tiring.. Friday evening was spent at XLR8, which was awesome as usual. Saturday was spent sleeping in, waking up and dyeing mine and my hsemates' hair red, then meeting Evie, Eva, Verne and Lung to head to the Brisbane Entertainment Centre for a Benny Hinn Crusade! It's really amazing to see His awesome power so manifested.. it was a refreshing time for me as well! Seeing the arena about the size of the Indoor Stadium packed out with people looking to experience Christ.. reminded me of Festival Of Praise... =) and seeing those same people being slain in the Spirit right in their seats... and the number of healings and miracles is so awesome!! at least 10 empty wheelchairs were brought up on stage by the people that came in them!! The deaf hearing, the lame walking, the demon-possessed delivered (YES IT HAPPENED ONSTAGE!), He's just amazing!! The other thing that reminded me of home, was the fact that Ps Benny loves to sing hymns, and I actually could remember almost all the hymns he sang!! Lung was sorta freaked out that I knew so many... hahahaha!!

Sunday was another awesome day.. hearing testimony of healing in the morning over at Jindalee where I played, from ballet teacher to paraplegic to quadraplegic and then whole once again! Then at night was another whole new experience... the whole service was a worship explosion, where our cre8ive director, Ps David Evans led the whole night on worship and speaking on worship as well. I still remember it very clearly.

To enter in to God's presence, something has to die!

What does it mean? In the Old Testament, the High Priest would bring the sacrifices and offer them unto the Lord before he could enter the Holy of Holies to pray for forgiveness of sins. Animals died.

In the New Testament, Jesus came to bridge the gap between God and Man. Jesus came because only He is the way, the truth and the life. It's because of Him that we can freely enter into God's presence. Jesus died.

We have to die. And Paul calls us to DIE DAILY. Our pride, our inhibitions, our fears, our weaknesses, they have to be put to death so that in our death, Christ would live within us. From a place of pain, God can come in and heal the wounds, and build you up.

Well its another 2 more days to Sydney!!! woohoo!!! bring it on!!! for those going for the Hillsongs conference, I'll see you there!!!

AN ADVENTURE BESTOWS

This is gonna be long!!!! Hang in there!

-Fri OveRniGht CycLiNg-
One which I never thought I would have done. Night cycling and the fear of traffic! Met 2 of my NP crusade frenz on Fri nite, cycled from Ang Mo Kio to MacRitchie Reservoir Park. Our first rest point was by the bridge in MacRitchie while the guys talked about their jungle training again and Persuaded me to cycle up to orchard and Istana Park. Traffic was kinda heavy as most party goers were leaving orchard. We parked by the pond side in front of Bross Brassier cafe. Here's the craziest thing of the nite, we took off our shoes and walked all the way to the end of the pool for photo taking. Hee... My body flashing warning sign! Sugar level low, Energy level flat and Fighting for time to reach home to watch Euro! Thus had our supper @ Kopitam before heading home, i hate those upslope along upper serangoon road, my butt hurts. haha All in all it's abt 28 km, well to the guys it's chicken feet but for me, it's an achievement hor considering I've not exercised for centuries (hee hee kidding)

Managed to reach home just in time to watch the match, thks dear for staying up! anyway France is OUT! Disappointing for them but I love this Euro coz it's full of surprises, first was Czech now Greece! hmmm we'll see Czech at the finals. feel like staying up to catch the finals....but i've got work the next day. *sian*

-SatuRdAy-
Cell meeting was great, learn lessons about the trials & struggles faced and God's love. The prayers and sharing was a breakthrough not only for myself but on a whole as a cell, a moment that i thank God for reminding us how closely knitted we are in this spiritual family. Shows how important we need fellow believers to watch out for us and to pull us back from the edge of the cliff.

An illustration shared by wendy(my buddy): think of this-u were the driver cruising along the cliff of sandy road. U've heard the voice of warning but yet refuse to listen. The course is getting challenging but ur stubbornness numbed ur senses. Do u know that in that car, there'r passengers-ur family, ones who loves u. When danger arises, U'll hurt not only urself but them as well. U have to make the choice! to control the wheels nearer to the cliff or away.

-My TotS & PrAyeR-
Indeed God allows someone to go through certain circumstances in order to share & minister to another. I believe the process of refining and polishing us are painful & uncomfortable but I thank God that the end result is always desirable. As Much is given, much is expected from me. O Lord, as much as I wish I wouldn't have to take on so many...help me to know ur ways are alwiz higher. U know what's best and how much I can bear. Grant to me all that you've planned for. Difficult though, but in You I can trust, ur burden is light. In Christ, Amen

Shopping Spree

Today is Mummy's day "Happy Birthday to the ever 24yrs old lady". we had 2 surprises for her. One was from my brother who set the alarm on her mobile to wish her happy birthday. She was searching for it high and low, and the other was my surprise birthday cake. She must be smiling from ear to ear. =)

I brought her for dinner at Hoshigaoka (Japanese Food). Hmmm... my uncle still cooks the best Japanese Food! miss his cooking tho, perhaps it's time i pay him a visit at China Square. keke. yep, After which we went shopping! yes i know i just came back from my shopping trip at KL but HEY my intention was for mom to buy some nice clothes. Pamper her since it's her birthday but ended up she got herself juz one top and as for me?

...Confession-I Bought 2 more pairs of shoes from X:odus that's my 6 pairs for these 2 weeks! Oops, i did it again. sorry I just couldnt resist. I have this craze for pointed shoes!! and since it's so reasonable and unique, why not? (trying to justify myself) haiz ok, I'm a "SHOEaholic"! haha said i wanted to avoid town because of GSS! *argh* well only for today.

Back to reality

I'm back from my one week break. Been recharged from last week's 4 days church camp and the 3 days shopping trip to KL heehee... Thank God for the moment of restoration and getting back to Him in his comfortable arms of love.

Besides the lessons learnt on the practical life of King David integrated with the 5 fold purposes (Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry & Mission), I've learn to rely more on God's strength, his power and the desire to seek his throne of grace as He clothe me with the robe of righteousness. There was a time when I felt unworthy to receive the word he has for me but After much prayers and support, I'm reassured that the work that Christ has done on the cross has made me worthy! It's been a different experience for this year's camp. Be it the people i work with, worship and all these circumstances during the camp taught me to stay focus on what's more important - Fix my eyes on the King and not our incompetence. Through this imperfection, God has made it perfect for his delight and pleasure. All the efforts put in for this camp was well recieved. souls were saved too, all Glory to Big Daddy!

now Monday...back to work, and back to reality, haha, so glad that there isn't many backlogs stacked on my desk. A sense of relief calms my anxious spirit when I step in the office. Nothing much to do this morning just clearing and replying all 40 over e-mails. Just started my engine to work on a new assignment. Believe my brain juice got used to the sudden short notice to complete a task. well that's about it, feelin a little uncomfortable because of my gastric pain. Pray that i will recover soon.

Pls Pray..

Everyone, Brisbane City Church, which is my home church here, caught fire last night around midnight. I don't think there was extensive damage, probably mainly to the auditorium... I don't have the full details because I only got to know about it this morning. Will update as and when I can. A short article is found here in the Courier-Mail. Its named as Glad Tidings City Church because that was what it was called previously. Your prayers are much needed. Thanks.

Some short quizzes before I sleep

Yellow rocks!!! =)

Yellow
You should be wearing the colour....Yellow! Yellow
is known to be the first colour the human eye
catches. You are a person who is full of
dreams, and large ambitions, so if you want to
get noticed, wear yellow!

What colour should you be wearing?

smile
Your sign of frustration is....Well, nothing. You
never get frustrated, which is very odd.
Nothing bothers you, and you act very sensible
when you are faced with a problem. Remember
though, that it is alright to get frustrated on
certain occasions, for it is only natural.

What sign of frustration are you?

1 Down.. 2 to GO!!

WoohoO!! my sorta most difficult paper is over!!! I actually gave up studying for Friday's paper to focus on this one... there was just so many things to remember!! But thankfully the paper went on easier than expected, which was a welcome thing... even though it was really stressful.. It was writing almost till time was up.. really thank God that I made it through, and in fact I'm pretty confident of it as well surprisingly.. =) Thank you everyone for your prayers, they are much appreciated.

Its been a hectic few days of studying, and there are gonna be more! so till next time...

Update

Changed the song! finally! Cos I actually lost half the blog template accidentally and I needed to redo the whole right panel.. this is a song I heard on the christian radio station 96.5FM - The Positive Alternative and reminds us that God's grace is just so awesome... Enjoy!

Missing In Action

sorry sorry...
Apologies for not blogging for so long. hee... my Life has been beautiful!

Last week:
Attended one of my churchmate-Jeremy band performance 'An evening with The Saints' Sounds holy ah? It's nothing spiritual, its a fund raising project for the Saint Andrews Village. The St Andrew Sch military band, St Andrew Junior College Concert band and The Saints' Alumni Band at the Esplanade Concert Hall. One of the memorbale item would be the performace by the Juniors cause they look so petite from far (think of Hobbits)... so cute!! heehee... ok anyway they played "When the Saints Go Marching In" the audience were clapping along and tho they went out of tune a couple of times, it was a great effort put in.

Last Friday:
Festival Of Praise was as awesome as ever. Message by Ps. Prince was short and concise abt Mary, the one who chose the right thing to do-wait upon Jesus’ feet. Relationship with the Father is far more impt then the service you do for his name sake. Therefore draw/recieve/take from God. It's a night where all angels and saints rejoice...It brings tears to see lives been saved into the kingdom of God. Indeed when one soul receives Christ and thousands of angels in heaven will rejoice and we too can rejoice in it. Hillsongs & Darlene was superb but it is God that made the night awesome, such anointing no one can fathom. It's so powerful.

This week
Have been busy clearing all my dateline coz i'll be on leave for 1 week yeah! I'm preparing for my church camp at Melacca this Sunday but i'm going on Saturday (advance team)! Just packed my stuff and ready to go. Thank God for providing the advance team a complimentary room, Yeah save my $ . And right after my camp I'm traveling up with my church mates to KL for 3 days of R&R. It's a long awaited break & a well deserved one.
Till then, take good care. most prob wouldnt blog til i come back on the 19th.

Miss you lots, dear! The Lord guide u thru ur revisions & exams... I'm praying for u! -I've even set alarm on my mobile to remind me your examination time. Press on!! =)
